Storage and deletion
We delete your music on purpose.
DJ Mode is priced for one night, not forever. Keeping every customer's music library indefinitely is what forces other services into subscriptions. We'd rather charge once, be clear about the clock, and let you extend it if you want to.
The rule
Your uploaded audio is kept until 10 days after your event date. On that day it is permanently deleted — unless you've renewed.
What gets deleted, and what doesn't

In practice: after a purge you can re-upload your songs and the board is back to normal in minutes, because the structure you built never went anywhere.
How the clock is set
- The deadline is your event date plus 10 days.
- Change the event date and the deadline moves with it — you'll see the new date confirmed when you save.
- A paid renewal never gets pulled backwards by a date change. Extensions always win.
- If you haven't set an event date, the clock runs from the day you created the event.
The warning
Three days before a deletion, we email the account address with the exact date and a one-click renewal link. That email goes out once per event, so keep the address on your account current.
Renewing
$19 adds 30 days. Renewals stack, so buying two in a row gives you 60 days. You can renew from the storage page of any event, or straight from the warning email.
Renewing after the deadline has passed still works — it reopens the event for the full window so you can upload your songs again. It does not bring back files that were already deleted; those are gone for good.
Where the files live
Uploads are stored in Amazon S3 in a private bucket. Nothing is publicly readable: the board plays your songs through short-lived signed links that this site generates each time it loads, and those links expire on their own.
Deleting an event yourself, from its settings page, removes its audio immediately rather than waiting for the clock.
